About Me
I am glad you found me. I am in eastern Iowa on a beautiful wooded property with trails and pasture for my dogs to enjoy
My name is Patti and I have been raising dogs since 1996, when my sons were quite young. I often joke that my kids were raised by border collies (my first breed), but it’s kind of true. Alex used to sit in the puppy pen with a book and a lap full of puppies. Erik went on the work at a Humane Society and loves putting his puppy days experiences to good use. He has even taught me a few new tricks. My youngest boy Collin can still be occasionally talked into coming over and giving me a hand with chores. My boys have all grown up, and now I have 5 happy and fun grand kids to help with the socializing and they call me 'Grandma Puppies '!!
Please enjoy exploring my website. I have a page to tell you how I raise my puppies, and an available puppies page for you to see my current litter. There are testimonials from past adopters, and pictures of my adorable babies and a few grown up for you to see. If you decide one of my puppies is right for you please fill out and return my puppy application. Keep in mind there are no right or wrong answers, but rather a way for me to learn more about you, what you want in your puppy, and help me in matching you to the pup that will suit your needs.
I have learned a lot over the years, and health testing has become an important part of my program. DNA testing is now easily available and gives me the ability to screen my breeding pairs so I can avoid many genetic diseases in my puppies. My parent dogs are selected for their health as well as temperament. I select only non-aggressive and willing to please individuals for my program.
After so many years of living for my dogs, I have definitely explored a variety of breeds, and have a few current favorites.
Our Breeds
- Miniature Australian Shepherds
- Miniature Aussiedoodles
- Cockapoo
- Cotralian
I have also continued to learn better ways to raise my puppies. From day one, I am in that box on my hands and knees with those puppies, and handle them every day.
